PADI RESCUE DIVER COURSE

What would you do if another diver needed help in the water?  Not really sure?  Then the PADI Rescue Diver Course will teach you the skills and knowledge required to make decisions when it really counts; you will learn to look out for the safety of other divers around you. Yes, the PADI Rescue Diver Course is a serious program; however, having the confidence in your skills and knowledge makes it one of the most rewarding courses to take.

PADI Rescue Diver Course Prerequisites:

Must be PADI Advanced Open Water Diver Certified or equivalent and have completed a sanctioned CPR course within the past 24 months.  For those aged between 12 and 15 years old there is the PADI Jr. Rescue Diver Certification available.

PADI Rescue Diver Course Components:

The PADI Rescue Diver Course is separated into 3 different components: theory, confined water training and open water training.

The theory introduces you to the principles of rescue skills with the Rescue Diver DVD/manual, knowledge development sessions and the Rescue Diver Exam. The confined water and open water training is hands-on practical training. Throughout all the sessions you will learn how to prevent problems from occurring, and if needed how to handle any dive emergency.

The following topics will be covered:

• Diver stress and self-rescue
• Diving first aid
• Emergency oxygen systems
• Emergency equipment
• Rescue techniques
• Responding to problems
• Emergency management

The culmination of the course is a full rescue scenario in the open water.

PADI Rescue Diver Course Fee: FJ$ 700.00

Fee includes the use of all PADI materials, 5 open water dives, all required scuba equipment and PADI Certification Card.
